In the Process of Proccessing
Today marks my last day in Mthatha. It’s strange to have a day of “lasts”: My last time being fully immersed in Xhosa language and culture; last drive through these chaotically entertaining streets; last time looking at mountains on my drive home; last time the children of Itipini climb all over me. From here I’m heading to Cape Town, where I will have the opportunity to be part of another new culture and be surrounded by a new kind of beauty. I’m sure I won’t be disappointed with this experience. Then on December 7th, my feet will be on Manitoba ground once again (frozen and icy though it may be!). As my adventures in Mthatha come to an end, I feel like I should have an eloquent summarizing post that neatly ties together my experience. But right now I’m at a loss for words…there are countless thoughts running through my head, but my mind hasn’t figured out what to do with those yet. Keep checking back to my blog in the coming weeks and I’ll do my best to fill you in on the results of my brain catching up to my experience!

It is kind of weird to have a day of lasts... I feel for you. I remember when we left Fresno, we left changed and it was hard to put into words what he had experienced. Our last post was once we had arrived back in Winnipeg, once we were in what was familiar, but what was different because we had changed. Then we could articulate what really happened to us.
Blessings to you as you process the changes that have occurred in your life. And blessings to you as you change those who have the privilege of being in your presence.
